City School Holds Academic Expo 2010

Islamabad, April 01: The City School hosted a mega event titled 'Academic Expo 2010' at the International Islamic University, Faisal Mosque Campus, on the theme of 'Resources through Recycling'.

In the expo, around 900 students practically demonstrated the use of teacher-made resources within a span of four hours for 2,000 visitors.

Recycling is not only beneficial for the earth but also for teaching, as it ensures better understanding to students through innovative teaching resources. The displays projected all facets of learning, encompassing the curriculum of Kindergarten to Primary Five levels in all subjects.

Sub-Committee of Environment on Climate Change Chairperson Marvi Memon was the chief guest on the occasion. She appreciated the efforts of the management of the City School in Islamabad, especially Regional Director Safia Cassim and Regional Academic Coordinator Safinaz Adnan, for taking the initiative and bringing together four branches - F-8 Nursery, F-11 Junior, Capital Junior I and Capital Junior II - which collectively put together a major event.
