Karachi: The vice chancellors of various public universities of Sindh have agreed to enhance mutual cooperation to enhance the educational standards and allow talented students to receive higher education even if they are faced with financial issues.
The vice chancellors reached the consensus at a meeting at the University of Karachi (KU) on Friday. The meeting, presided over by KU Vice Chancellor Prof Pirzada Qasim, also decided that the collaboration should include administrative cooperation as well. It was also decided that the future meetings will be arranged via Video Conferencing.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr Nazeer A. Mughal, VC, Sindh University Jamshoro; Prof. Dr Masood Hameed, VC, Dow University of Health Sciences, (DUHS); Eng. Abdul Kalam, VC, NED University; Prof. Dr A. Q. Mughal, VC, Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam; Prof. Dr Nilofar Sheikh, VC, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur; Prof. Dr Nishat A. Siddiqui, VC, Liaquat University of Medical Science, Jamshoro; Prof. Dr Wahid Buksh Soomro, VC, Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology, Nawabshah and Prof. Sikandar Ali Sheikh, VC, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto University, Larkana.
